[ For her proud but reserved posture, you might never guess that the girl's immensely nervous. Her art has been a personal thing for quite a while after all- and by personal thing, I mean if you saw her actual art it was not by her own volition, even if she did talk about it.

But then she included a painting in a thank you message, and a late Valentine's Day card for Zuke- and a commission from Felix for Dimitri himself. This place did weird things to her and that was the only logical explanation.

When Dimitri gestures to the spare position, she looks up at him almost curiously. ]

They're doing live model sketches, right?

That's right. Normally, this glass practices different poses on both humans and Pokemon - Dean has actually helped out a few times as well.

[The large Emboar pauses where he's at a door to the side, and nods with a smile. Art pig.]

It is not an area I am knowledgeable in, but I have been told it is important for artists to get a good understanding of how the body works, and from different angles.

However, there is an option, towards the final hour, for the students here to try different methods besides sketching. For example... [He looks around before nodding to a young woman's set up, with long pink wavy hair pulled into a pair of small pigtails along the rest of it.] Airee likes to spend that portion trying to speed paint, to get practice in shading with color.

I suppose it is something fun to do after all the technical work?

Yeah, for people who draw... well, people, especially. I do a lot of face studies when I need to brush up on that sort of thing too. I just... prefer landscapes and other stuff.

[ She might have had to nab some screenshots from his previous network posts for Felix's commission. She's not going to say that though.

Admittedly, Jinx feels very out of place here- although the class was kind enough to give her a spot, she's not part of it and more here as Dimitri's guest, and she's not sure how to people when she's not actively charming them... or scaring them. (When Dimitri finally splits apart to do what he's being paid to do, she might resemble something like a lost duck.) ]

Oh, I apologize. [And he really does look it, too, brow furrowed. Maybe a little worse than normal, just... considering everything.] I had not considered specialties like that...

Do you still want to stay? I will take responsibility for the misunderstanding.

[ Oh this very sincere, very Catholic man. ]

No, no, it's fine. It's good to do something else now and then, and it is useful. I was just making a note. It's okay.

Then that is a relief.

[Dimitri smiles to her, just... so glad one more thing has not yet gone wrong.]

Then - excuse me for a moment, as I go to change.

[He steps over to what is apparently a small side-and-or-storage room, accepting the case Dean gives him as he does so.]

[While Jinx is left out to put down her things by the easel and just settle in, one of the other students leans over - a girl with pale freckles on her skin, the wire-form shape of stars as earrings, and heart-framed glasses.]

Hey, alright if I ask something?

[ True to predictions, she does seem like something of a lost duck when Dimitri goes to change. But then another girl approaches her and look, she is very nervous and dealing with a lot of things right now but she has a reputation. ... Back home, anyways. So she immediately straightens up. ]

Sure, go for it.

"How many romantic partners does Mister Mitri have?"

[...So have fun with that question, Jinx. At least there's no sign of... romantic interest from this chick? It's just mildly bored if anything.]

[ god fucking damn it. ]

... At least three.

[ And if this chick does anything rude she will throw hands. ]

[She promptly looks back towards a few other students.]

"Do you hear that? The bet is still undecided."

[Ignoring the groans between at least three other students, she looks back at Jinx.]

"He keeps mentioning different boyfriends, so it's been driving people up the wall wondering."

[ ... Oh my god. Okay, that earns a snicker. ]

Can you tell me any names? I know three for sure, and if I hear any that hasn't been told to me yet, that'll confirm how many.

[That earns an immediate chorus of voices.]

"Felix!"

"Lushka was another one, right?"

"He mentioned Grant, last week..."

Okay, so... I don't. Quite recognize 'Lushka', but I also haven't met a Lushka, and I'm pretty sure they're all in one group so it might be a nickname... so that is at least four people.

[ Grant was new to her. ... Good for them honestly. ]

[Someone with long wavy brown hair and a Minun charm hanging from their Gear pumps their fist.]

"I win!"

"Shut up, she said at least four, nothing is decided yet!"

[The bet-driven argument is cut short when the storage door starts to open, and Dimitri steps out in his full armor. No cape, and his hair is pulled back into a loose bun not too unlike what Felix sometimes wear... All to help make sure the complete plate set it seen. Dimitri smiles a little bit as he steps back over to Jinx.]

Have you been speaking with some of the other students in the class?

A little.

[ Gossiping about your ~~dad~~ mentor's boyfriend was okay if it wasn't bad stuff right?

Idly she actually sets her things down, but there's a certain stiffness in her shoulders that remains despite the lighthearted bet talk. ... It was probably fine. ]

[....Probably fine.]

[Still, Dimitri tries to stay optimistic about it, even as tired as he is. He looks towards the rest of the classroom.]

You know, they often play something in the background during class... Do you have a preference?

[The student with the likely winning bet and a Minun appreciation looks up from where they're fiddling with their Gear.]

"We can do either music or podcasts - got a preference?"

Oh- uh. Music, please.

[ Don't get her wrong, she likes podcasts, but she's not keen on dropping into the middle of one without warning. ...Also she tends to like the spooky ones, so.

Even as she tends to her own things she still feels... distinctly out of place, actually. But. Well. She might as well get used to all of this, right? Since it looks like this is her life now. ]

[With a bit of fiddling and an attachment to a larger portable speaker, music starts to filter out. There's a couple more minutes of chatting before the teacher - a wispy looking guy with long silver hair pulled back in a high ponytail - steps forward to get everyone's attention.]

[It's not a super indepth start up. All he does is explain that the class is changing things up a bit, moving from a focus on the human body to something a little different in terms of structure and shading - namely Dimitri's armor. They'd start with a few different poses, each for five minutes, before doing a brief break and moving onto longer sketch periods.]

[Dimitri seems used to this, smiling one last time at Jinx before he steps to the center of the room. There's a stool to the side in easy reach, but he doesn't take that yet, instead just standing plainly with one hand on his hip. Dean waits patiently to the side and, at the art teacher's nod, taps on a timer.]

[Besides the low roll of music, there's nothing but the sounds of sketching, with every student focused on what they have in front of them. The teacher just strolls around the room, quietly taking in everyone's progress.]

[ She's used to drawing around other people. The common room of the dorms and then the main room of the team's lair was rarely empty, so she's used to her ~~friends~~ team being around while she draws. And HIVE had clubs and stuff- even school dances!- to create a sense of normalcy, but they were for strictly illegal things. This is the first time she's done something like this as a group.

And with supervision! Yikes. It's hard not to want to hide her work away when he comes around but she was a confident thief and mercenary, essentially. She can keep her back straight and her head held high when an instructor walks by. She's allowed herself too much vulnerability anyways as of late- had to work on that.

So yeah, she just keeps going. ]

[Five minutes goes by pretty quickly when one is actively doing something, and Dimitri switches up his poses a few more times. It's nothing too fancy yet, taking into consideration how short they're going to be and his armor.]

[But then the Gear's timer rings, and it's everyone, not just Dimitri, who relaxes. As he stretches a bit, he makes his way over to where Jinx sits as the soft hum of conversation starts up in the room again.]

May I ask to see what you've done?

Ah- sure...

[ It's not like he's unfamiliar with her art. But there's a difference between a finished painting and a series of practice sketches? But also, it's a public setting about art and improving art. Why must everything about being a normal person be so difficult always.

Her work, for what the time allows, is decent. Human shapes aren't her forte, but it's not like she's flailing blindly either? Quick sketches litter a part of the page. She shifts in her seat to allow viewing. ]

[Politely, taking care not to loom too hard - which he knows is tough as it is, with his height and the armor and all that - Dimitri steps around her to take a look.]

It's very nice. I imagine it is one of those things that comes easier to you the more you do it, isn't it?

Mhm. I also make jewelry sometimes. [ Dimitri might have seen the navy blue and silver bracelet on Felix's wrist. ] I like doing creative things in general- like cooking and baking.

Magic's kinda helped a bit- some things need to be incredibly precise in their shapes or ingredients, y'know? You gotta get good at recognizing what's needed in components and fast.

I see... Then, do you believe that learning to practice the shapes of a person, or the structure of my armor, would help with that in any way?

It's more like it'll be helped by my former experiences. The plates are easy to pick apart, since they've got distinct pieces, and I'd like to think I'm good at keeping things in tact and steady after magic circles.

[ The circles have to be perfect every time.
