indigo_league[Today's recording hits your screen with a burst of colour and sweeping samba rhythms. There are two figures on the screen, both exquisitely dressed and masked. One of the two is dressed in a colourful Harlequin's garb, face hidden behind a traditional white mask. The other figure is dressed in more ruffles than a swarm of Flittle, the fabric dancing with every movement. There is no mystery who these two figures are though, not when you can recognise very familiar gold and green eyes.

Hello and welcome, and a slightly belated Happy New Year. We certainly hope it'll be a good one during which we can organise many new contests for you.

And speaking of contests -- did you know that this month a very interesting celebration is happening over in the Paldean region? Unfortunately, it never really managed to make its way over here, but it is nearly time for the yearly Carnival celebrations; a festivity of masks and costumes and joyful abundance, with laughter and music everywhere. Unfortunately, as much as we tried, we weren't able to take you there in person, so we thought we might do the next best thing. After all, you might never know when an experience like this might come in handy in the future.

To bring the Carnival to all of you, we've decided to host another Contest on the 13th of February at our mansion, and we are inviting all of you, both to participate in the contest and to celebrate with us. The weather outside is quite dark, after all. Why not brighten it up a bit?
Ah, but I suppose we should tell you what this contest's theme will be. Or else, how can you put together those incredible performances you always dazzle us with?

Well, what other theme could we have but 'Masks'!
Whether it is colourful masks like we are wearing now, or the daily masks we all have when handling the outside world, disguises and the true self hidden behind them are a staple of the Carnival celebrations. And this time we ask you to dazzle us with your masked performances.
What sort of things does the word 'Masks' bring to mind? What kind of tale would you like to tell? We, for one, cannot wait to see!
