Action
[All month, Ulaz has been trying to practice with Bet, his Corviknight. Some of the time, he has no problem. Other times... other times are like now.

For anyone who might be watching in Goldenrod City, Bet is swooping in, coming for deep dive. Not that he is really trying to do something stupid, but he's being chased at the moment. Behind the Corviknight are several dozen small bird Pokemon chasing him, Pidgey and Rookiedee mostly, with a few random Murkrow that have been tailing since Ecruteak City. Most alarming are three Skarmory that have apparently been chasing him from either further or come out of nowhere.

Clearly, Bet is trying to figure out how to drop off his trainer so he doesn't get hurt and so Ulaz can recall him. Easier said than done when there are so many other bird Pokemon hot on his tail feathers]

[It is a bit later, but Ulaz is on the ground back near his house. Bet is with him, looking a bit worse for wear, but he is taking care of fixing his feathers]

Has anyone else been having problems with the bird Pokemon when they are out flying? It seems like half the time we try, Bet and I get swarmed by various Pokemon while we are flying.

Even in ways that may not make much sense to us. One of my Pokemon has not yet evolved and I think it is because he wants to help protect the young Pokemon that are at my house.

She has done a very good job. I'd say she will be a good member of your team.

That must be very kind of him to think of the well-being of your other Pokémon in spite of him not being able to evolve just yet. Any Pokémon are more than capable to look after each other especially those they care for so much.

(In many ways, the Pokémon’s unspoken bonds and caring for each other reminds her a lot of how her family would lay their life to keep each other safe from harm even if that did cost the life of one of them.)

She would be blushing to hear it from you but I do believe that she will be happy to take that compliment either way.

Indeed. He seems to want to care for them. He also is very convenient for entertaining small Pokemon. He is a Spheal so he rolls most everywhere, like a ball.

[Needless to say, young Pokemon might find him interesting]

Has she been a member of your team for long?

I had her for around two years at most. She hasn’t evolved just yet but she has proved to be more capable than most people would have imagined a Tinkatink would normally be. Maybe she thinks that she is not yet ready to evolve so soon.

Speaking of which, Snowball definitely enjoys rolling all over the ground to get to places easily. In fact, he has a lot of fun rolling over the snow for most of the winter months.

Hmm... it is possible that she may not feel that she is ready. It is hard to tell Pokemon. I have tried to assure my Spheal it is fine if he were to evolve and he just continues to stay a Spheal. If he is happy that way, I won't complain.

"Snowball"? Is that your Spheal?

That is what I have been thinking for a while honestly. She probably needs some time to grow stronger and to make the decision if she wants to evolve or stay as she currently is.

After all, it is their choice and their choice alone to decide if they should evolve or not.

(Isabela is quite familiar with this kind of situation when Carmen and Amarantha were just a Budew and Sprigatito at the start of her journey. Despite being levels higher, Amarantha waited for Carmen to gain a strong friendship with her so they can evolve at the same time.)

Yes of course, he is my Spheal. And he has become quite an adorably lovable and cheeky little fellow.

I agree. I am fairly certain Jaxu could have evolved by now, but he has just decided for some reason that it is not his time. Which I respect as it must be harder to decide not to than to do so I believe.

[While he hadn't quite had that, his Eevee had decided to wait and evolve with his "girlfriend", an Alolan Vulpix so they could both be ice Pokemon together]

Perhaps we should arrange for Snowball and Jaxu to meet at some point. They might enjoy some time together.

Agreed. Every Pokémon has every right to choose what they want to do with their own lives and their abilities and, for that, I highly value and respect it to a high level too.

Oh yes, that would be marvelous for both of them to meet up and play with each other in the neat future. I can already imagine them having a time of their lives right now. Snowball is going to be so excited to meet Jaxu.

Agreed. I can't make that decision for them so it is up to them to decide for themselves.

Yes, I think that would be good if they could. Jaxu so rarely gets to see other Spheal that I'm sure he'd be excited as well.

Oh yes certainly: it sure will be a good time for them to get along and have each other’s company. And I also have a feeling that some of my other Pokémon would be interested in meeting and playing with various Pokémon too.

(Considering that almost all her Pokémon are being super nagging her to let them find new friends at this time, she might as well be thankful for the small good luck the Snorunts has blessed her for helping them during their time of need.

Many within her team are practically begging for new friends very much for days and she knows well that they are in need of some good bonding time with other Pokémon.)

Of course. I do have quite a number that would like to make new friends. So we can always have a collection to meet each other. My Meowstic is always up for making new friends.

Oh that is great to hear. My Pokémon would love to meet them including your Meowstic. I bet that they can become each other’s friends once they get to see each other soon.

Yes, I would hope so. We will have to plan a date where we can have the Pokemon meet. I do have a lot of space here if needed.

Oh yes, it is a good idea. We should find a good date for the meeting so we can let our teams meet up. Especially if it is one where we don't have many things to attend to. I’m definitely okay with coming over to your place as well.

Yes, that would be good, not having any additional plans when we meet up. That way they can play all they want and we don't have to drag them off prematurely. I can usually make that happen at least once a week.

Terrific! I am liking this very much already and I’m really glad that we don’t have to worry about prolonging their play date a little too long. Making it a weekly thing is also a good plan too. I’ll inform my Pokémon about it as soon as I can so they will be even more excited.

That sounds like a good plan. I will let my Pokemon know as well. I'm sure there are many who would like to meet yours.

Yes indeed: hopefully once we set up the first date, they can be looking forward to the day even more. That would be an amazing time for them to get to know each other and bond as well.

I hope they do as well. I will take a look at my schedule and let you know the options.
