[The PokeGear opens on a wing of the natural history museum in Cascarrafa. The most visible display is a timeline about the Age of Exploration in Paldea, trailing all along one wall of the hallway and through various artifact shadowboxes and other such displays. There’s a scan along this wall for a moment before Huey pops up, eyes practically glowing.]

Look at all this incredible information! Like- hold on-

[BLURRY. Then he points out a specific part of the timeline.]

Did you know the academy that’s hosting us was created over 800 years ago??

[He grins.]

I could spend weeks in this city! There’s all kinds of museums here-

[There’s a sigh from someone-off camera, before Louie leans into the shot. He doesn’t look nearly as excited as Huey - quite the contrary - but there’s some amusement in his expression, all the same.]

Yeah, we’re not doing that. Our next stop is to check out the place across the street selling antiques. [He turns to his brother with a smirk.] After all, Hue, you’re not the only one whose birthday it is today.

[That gets a snort out of Huey who rolls his eyes, though not without a smirk of his own.]

Fine. [And back to the PokeGear] Point is, if you like history, be sure to swing by Cascarrafa’s museums.

[Louie snickers, laying his arms over his brother’s head and teasingly leaning against him to get better in frame… And to be a nuisance, of course.]

And if you want to help two recently reunited triplets celebrate their birthday, we will accept any and all gifts!

[That gets a squawk out of Huey.]

Louie!

[Was that at the brotherly leaning? The blatant request?

Yes.]

[Heh. The enthusiasm's so endearing. Gives Riku a place to scope out later, what with all the new sights and sounds. It's almost like he's starting fresh after all these years. They all are, really.]

Hey, if you're looking to capitalize on birthdays, pretty sure most restaurants offer some kind of birthday special or discount. Don't know if that's how it works in this region, but you could probably get some mileage out of it.

[Something about one of those kids just strikes him as the type to enjoy that sort of convenience. Then again, maybe he's already thought about it.]

Anyway, I'll have to swing by that Museum sometime. Definitely seems more expansive than the one in Pewter City.

Well, if you're interested in fossil Pokémon, they've got full-body skeletons of a few of them. Kabutops, Aerodactyl... I remember there being some exhibits about space exploration, too, but it's been a while.

[So... different, definitely. But, hey, kids like fossils, right? Dinosaurs. Granted, it's also easy to get living ones at this point, if you know the right people.

Eh. He'll just have to play it by ear.]

Heh. Really? How deep into space are we talking here?

[He's heard enough stories from other worlds that he can't rule out deep space adventures. The kinda stuff in Sci-fi. Heck, even here, it's not that outlandish.]

Heh. Well, I won't pry about that sore spot, but it sounds like you guys lead some pretty thrilling lives. Dimensions, too...

[Sheesh. That's the kind of pipe dream that would've driven Riku crazy back when he was stuck on the island.

Now, he can take it with less envy, at least.]

When you put it that way, a place like this is probably mundane, huh?

A discounted birthday dinner? I like the sound of that.

[You'd think someone so money-focused would be familiar with the practice, but he's used to parties at home with family. Neither Donald nor Scrooge were jumping to take the boys out to birthday dinners, albeit for different reasons.]

If you're half as into history as my brother, you'll probably have fun here. And even if you're not, it still could be worth it to check out Cascarrafa. There are more museums here, and picking between them was hard. Not for me, but I trust my brother as an authority on all things learning.

Heh. Yeah, one thing I'm already noticing about this place is just how huge it is. Seems like there's no shortage of stuff to do, and I think this is the first time we've had full access to another region instead of just one city.

[Well, setting aside Johto and Kanto for obvious reasons. There's a nostalgic sort of smile on Riku's face.]

Wonder if it's because we've been here so long, the other regions aren't so wary of us. It's been... geez, almost fifteen years since this all started.

This is the first time I've been here where we've really gone anywhere so far away. I know that when I was home for a while people ended up in the past, but it didn't sound like that was supposed to happen.

[He is not upset that he missed it!]

But hang on a minute. Do you mean since this all started for you, or in general?

[Interesting. Louie had never considered if anyone would still be here from when people first started being brought to this place.

He never considered the start of this whole thing at all, truth be told.]

Both, technically. I was in one of the first batches of people who got dragged here, back before we even had access to the Kanto region.

[Heh... Those were the days, for better or worse. There's a brief, distant look in his eyes.]

Things were different back then. No teleporters. You had to work your way through the region on foot 'til you got a bike or Pokemon to make travel faster.

Wow. Okay, well, that sounds like the worst.

[No warps even after you've gone to a town's Pokemon Center? He can't help shuddering at the idea.]

But you must have been here for a long time, then, right?
